Equipment and aids
There is a lot of equipment that you might find helpful. This could include:
- grab rails
- raised toilet seats, commodes and bath boards
- bed raiser
- walking sticks, zimmer frames or hand rails
- chair adaptations
- adapted kitchen utensils
- alarms and telecare equipment
- personal loop systems

Adapt your home
The Minor Adaptations and Repairs Service (MARS) can give adaptations that are easily installed. This could be internal an external grab rails.

You may need major adaptations for your home such as:
- fitting a ramp to your front door
- widening doorways
- lowering worktops
- installing a shower or wet room
