Our ukulele group is designed for children who may have started exploring the ukulele in school during whole class sessions and would like to progress further, perhaps alongside more experienced players. Folk Band is a mixed instrumental ensemble designed for young people aged 7-13. Whether you know just three or four notes on your instrument, or you are an experienced player, you will enjoy working together to create some energetic arrangements of famous folk tunes.
During rehearsals, you will have the opportunity to develop your musicianship further with plenty of opportunity to explore sight reading and ensemble skills. Students are given sheet music for their own parts to take home and practice.
